About Us
WHO WE ARE
At Watermayne we value being one of Adelaide’s leading high-performance home builders. Our homeowners tell us that they value our thoughtful design, integrated with sustainable practices – they love ‘our shade of green‘.
Our design and construction methodology is grounded in sustainability and energy efficiency, to deliver exceptional homes that deliver true green living every-day, for our homeowners.
We are supported by an exceptional team of local trades with urban, regional, and coastal terrain experience. We specialise in building homes across Adelaide, the Fleurieu Peninsula, and the Adelaide Hills.
Our Story
At Watermayne, we’re proud to run a family-owned business based on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula. When you connect with any of our team, from the office or site, to our trusted trades and suppliers, you’ll find team members who truly love to build high performance homes.
Founded in 2010, we’ve had a diverse journey in project management and construction, which continues to evolve.
At Watermayne, we work to ensure that our team of trades and designers share our passion and interest in building sustainable homes. We seek out relationships with industry professionals and specialist trades who complement our design, passion and path towards this type of construction technique.
If you look at testimonials from our homeowners, you’ll find that we foster a reputation of trust, excellence and transparency with our clients and trade partners, because we believe this is a cornerstone of quality construction that lasts.
Meet the Team
At Watermayne we take the perspective that every home we build is somebody’s lifetime legacy and that every project deserves to be managed by experts with the passion and knowledge to deliver great results.
We love working together to create homes with a bigger purpose, and we think you’ll see this at every stage of working with our team.
Get to know our Director, Steven Albrechtsen
Steve started his career in the construction industry as a carpenter. Through his apprenticeship with the State Government of SA – his early start with large commercial and government projects set him up to further develop his carpentry and building skills in commercial and residential projects in Australia and overseas.
Advancing into site management as well as completing a Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics (Hons), Steve then progressed into broader oversight roles in Project Development management. His hands-on experience and qualifications gave Steve great opportunities to inject innovation and contemporary design thinking into new projects.
Seeking a more connected approach with clients, Steve felt prompted to create his own legacy to provide a more personalised, deliberate service within the construction industry. Watermayne was then formed in 2010, holding an unrestricted builder’s license.
Steve’s background in construction, asset management, and diverse work environments underpin the Watermayne approach to design and construction. These elements are shared with the wider Watermayne team to ensure that every project encompasses site management, construction methodology, project economics and administration – to give assurance to homeowners, in addition to a spectacular final finish.
